John P. Larson, Chairman

John P. Larson is Chairman of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Mr. Larson became Chairman when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019. He had previously served as Lead Independent Director of KAR since 2014.

Mr. Larson has served as Chief Executive Officer of Bestop, Inc., a leading manufacturer of soft tops and accessories for Jeep vehicles, since 2015. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Escort Inc., an automotive electronics manufacturer, from 2008 to 2014, and as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2008.

From 1986 to 2007 Mr. Larson served in a number of capacities at General Motors Company, most recently as General Manager overseeing operations for the Buick, Pontiac and GMC Divisions from 2005 to 2007, and as General Director of Finance for U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing Operations from 2001 to 2004. He led General Motors Company’s used car remarketing activity from 1999 to 2000.

Mr. Larson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University.

Brian Bales, Director

Brian Bales is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Mr. Bales became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019.

Mr. Bales has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer, at Republic Services, Inc., a leader in the domestic non-hazardous solid waste industry, since 2015. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Business Development, from 2008 to February 2015, and as Vice President, Corporate Development, from 1998 until 2008.

Prior to Republic, Mr. Bales held roles of increasing responsibility in finance and business development for Ryder System, Inc. from 1993 to 1998. He served as chief financial officer for EDIFEX & VTA Communications from 1988 through 1993. He began his professional career as an accountant with Price Waterhouse now PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1986 to 1988.

Mr. Bales holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee and is a Certified Public Accountant.

William (Bill) Breslin, Director

William (Bill) Breslin is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Mr. Breslin became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019.

Mr. Breslin is the founder and, since 2009, has served as CEO of Wenonah Consulting, which specializes in delivering service, expense and loss management solutions to claims operations across the insurance industry. He also served as President of Vericlaim Repair Solutions, a managed repair network of certified local, regional and national contractors, from 2011 to 2017.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Breslin served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at TriServ Alliance, a claims management organization established by seven Blue Cross Blue Shield companies to service 2.9 million customers in nine states, from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Breslin led the claims function as Senior Vice President of Claims for USAA from 1999 to 2008, and held similar positions at GE Financial Assurance, from 1996 to 1999, and at Prudential, from 1974 to 1996.

Mr. Breslin has been a member of the Board of Directors of Insight Services Group since 2014. He previously was a Board member of ABRA Auto Body and Glass, from 2011 to 2019, and Pronto Insurance, from 2014 to 2018.

Mr. Breslin holds a bachelor's degree from St. Bernard College and completed continuing education and executive training programs at both the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.

Gail Evans, Director

Gail Evans is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Ms. Evans became a Board member in February of 2020.

Ms. Evans has served as Chief Digital Officer of Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and career, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), since June 2018.

Prior to joining Mercer, Ms. Evans was the Group Partner Program Manager for Microsoft, where she worked across Microsoft Business Groups, Product Engineering and IT teams to launch the next-generation customer knowledge platform for Microsoft’s Mobile First, Cloud First services. In her previous role, she was General Manager of Microsoft Studios, Services & Operations.

Ms. Evans also served as Vice President and General Manager for Hewlett-Packard, responsible for worldwide country engagement and web capabilities as well as execution, search, personalization and digital marketing for HP’s web presence. She previously served as Technology Senior Vice President for Bank of America.

Sue Gove, Director

Sue Gove is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Ms. Gove became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019.

Ms. Gove is President of Excelsior Advisors, LLC, a retail consulting and advisory firm. Prior to founding Excelsior in 2014, she was the President and CEO of Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. from 2012 to 2014. Previously, Ms. Gove held several other senior leadership roles at Golfsmith, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Gove spent 25 years at Zale Corporation where she served in senior financial, operating and strategic roles, including as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. Gove served as a member of the Board of Directors of AutoZone Inc. from 2005 until 2017, of Logitech International SA from 2015 until 2018 and of Iconix Brand Group from 2014 to 2019. She is also a NACD Board Leadership Fellow.

Ms. Gove holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Lynn Jolliffe, Director

Lynn Jolliffe is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Ms. Jolliffe became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019. She previously served as an Independent Director of KAR since 2014.

Ms. Jolliffe has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Jolliffe Solutions, Inc., which provides consulting in human capital and talent management, since 2015. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources of Ingram Micro Inc., a technology distribution company, from 2007 to 2015, as Vice President, Human Resources for the North America region from 2006 to 2007, and as Regional Vice President, Human Resources and Services for the Ingram Micro European Coordination Center from 1999 to 2006.

Earlier in her professional career, Ms. Jolliffe served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for human resources at two Canadian retailers, including Holt Renfrew, from 1985 to 1999.

Ms. Jolliffe holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree from Queens University.

Peter H. Kamin, Director

Peter H. Kamin is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Mr. Kamin became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019.

Mr. Kamin is Managing Partner of 3K Limited Partnership, which partners with management teams seeking capital to implement growth strategies that create meaningful shareholder value. Prior to founding 3K in 2012, he was a founding member and Managing Partner of ValueAct Capital, which grew into a leading investment management organization during Mr. Kamin’s tenure.

Mr. Kamin previously founded and managed Peak Investment L.P., which was organized to make investments in select domestic public and private companies.

Mr. Kamin currently serves as Chairman of Tile Shop Holdings, a Director of MAM Software Limited, and Chairman of several privately held companies.

Mr. Kamin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Business. He is a Trustee of Tufts University.

Olaf Kastner, Director

Olaf Kastner is an independent member of the Board of Directors of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace. Mr. Kastner became a Board member when IAA spun off from KAR Auction Services Inc. in June 2019.

Mr. Kastner served as Strategy Advisor in China for the BMW Group from March 2018 to September 2018. He previously was Regional President and Chief Executive Officer for China for the BMW Group from 2015 to 2018.

Mr. Kastner was President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. in China from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as Finance Director of BMW (UK) Ltd., Bracknell, from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Kastner joined BMW Group in 1998 and served as Managing Director Bavaria Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH until 2006. He worked for Colonia AG/AXA Group in various management positions from 1985 to 1998.

Mr. Kastner holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hamburg.

John W. Kett, Chief Executive Officer & President

John W. Kett is CEO and President of IAA, Inc., the leading multi-channel vehicle marketplace (NYSE: IAA).

John became CEO in May 2014, after serving in a variety of executive roles at IAA for more than fourteen years. In June 2019, he led IAA through the process of becoming an independent public company. In 2019, IAA generated $1.4 billion in revenue and sold more than 2.5 million vehicles through its platform. IAA is a global leader in technology innovation, analytics and operational execution.

Formerly with IAA, John served as senior vice president of planning and business development, CFO and president. He sits on the national board of directors for SkillsUSA and the Northern Illinois University Board of Executive Advisors. John is also an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Prior to IAA, John held senior financial roles at Central Steel and Wire Co., and Safelite Glass Corporation, Newark Electronics and Deloitte LLP. He received a master’s degree from Northwestern University and a B.S. from Northern Illinois University.
